Rangeless Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) Debriefing
System Commonly
Called
ARENA
DEBRIEFING SYSTEM (ADS)
"ADS
adds increased training efficiency and effectiveness for operational
users"
ADS
offers an affordable and proven combination of rangeless, training /
debriefing to improve overall operational effectiveness. ADS
can be used for single ship transition training, or is effective for
multi-ship (virtually unlimited number of participants) tactics training in
air-to-air and air-to-surface mission scenarios. ADS
was recently flight tested at the USAF Flight Test Center at Edwards Air
Force Base, California with successful results.

Rangeless Training
ADS
is a proven rangeless ACMI training/debriefing system. ADS
replaces cumbersome, expensive fixed ground ranges and tracking antennas,
with differential GPS (Global Positioning System), allowing accurate, fast
determination of self-location via satellite. ADS
can fly
Anywhere in the world, on any training or
combat aircraft.
ADS
has been flight-tested on both commercial and military aircraft and was
successfully fight- tested on two F-16s in combat maneuvers.
Single or Multiple
Participation
ADS
enables GPS precise, affordable basic and advanced pilot training to
include: Transition Maneuvers, Air-to-Air, Air-to-Surface missions. ADS
provides PC-based debriefing at squadron level. The ADS
Flight Reconstruction System provides the aircraft industry's first low-cost
approach to providing immediate post-flight reconstruction of flight
dynamics and missile and bomb flyouts using a single GPS receiver and ARENA
software processing. No expensive carriage pods or training missiles are
required. In addition to standard GPS outputs of position, heading, velocity
and time ADS
provides information such as pitch, roll, body axis yaw, G-loading, angle of
attack, rate of climb, and engine status. When combined together highly
accurate flight reconstruction is
possible. ADS
sophisticated post-processing software provides the user with a realistic
image of his aircraft in flight. An external view of the aircraft from any
perspective (Gods-Eye) or an out-the-cockpit view with aircraft data display
that is presented on the PC-based debrief station. Multiple users may
combine data from up to 32 aircraft for mission scenario reconstruction in a
dense training or combat environment. With extensive flight testing in
military and light aircraft, ADS
has proven itself accurate during high "G" maneuvering.
GPS Data Recorder
The GPS data recorder is portable. It may be
hand carried or installed permanently in the aircraft.
