Eidetics Provides ARENA™ Air Combat Training System to Air

13, 1999 - Eidetics Corporation teams with Air
Combat USA, Fullerton CA, to provide customers with a new thrill in air
combat. Military trained instructor pilots guide students
through flight maneuvers and the use of Eidetics' F-16 type aircraft simulator.
The ARENA™ Air Combat Simulator, powered by three Silicon Graphics O2
computers provide high fidelity aerodynamics, complex threat environment, a high
resolution projected out-of-cockpit view, fiberglass cockpit shell with actual
F-16 stick and throttle, and in-cockpit instrumentation.
In addition to aircraft simulator
training, Air Combat USA
provides students
with the opportunity to actually fly a light attack SIAI Marchetti SF260 fighter
aircraft. Coached by military trained air combat instructors, students maneuver
through a series of dogfights. No pilot's license is required. Over 20,000
people have been a "fighter pilot for a day" since Air Combat USA
began operations in 1989.
